Adventures of Micaiah...

A week and a half ago my younger brother Micaiah was cleaning out our gutter and found a baby squirrel in it with his eyes still closed! Micaiah was sooo excited!!! The squirrel had tons of fleas so Micaiah sat there forever cleaning the him. Then he used Gavin's old gecko cage for the squirrel to stay in. Hours upon hours he sat up that night searching the internet looking for the best thing to feed baby squirrels. My mom raised squirrels when she was younger so she made up a mixture to feed the the squirrel for that night. Micaiah got up every four hours that night to feed the him. The next day he went to a pet store and bought some dry goats milk and he has been using that in a mixture ever since. He went to the library today and got a book called "I found a baby squirrel, what do I do?" They have different ideas of what to feed squirrels and what to do with them so now Micaiah is going to have to change everything. The squirrels eyes opened about five days ago when Micaiah got him out to feed him one night. Micaiah said he was feeding him then all of a sudden...pop...his eyes opened!! Micaiah was really glad that he was the first thing the squirrel saw. :) We still don't have a name for the him. :( My dad said we should name him Bullwinkle since Micaiah already has a dog named Rocky; Rusty calls him vermin but Micaiah can't seem to come up with anything he likes for the squirrel. Whenever he feeds him, the squirrel drinks everything out of the bottle in a few seconds and acts like he is still hungry. Micaiah doesn't want to overfeed him so he doesn't give him more. The other day he asked Rushi if she let Corbon drink as much milk out of his bottle as he wanted when he was younger or if she only gave him a certain amount. It was just funny because normally that kind of talk is from one mother to another not from a teenage boy to a mom. :) Anyway, hope you like the pictures I have of him. Doesn't  he like rip your heart out of you? He is so precious!!! Micaiah went to work the other day and filled our white board for school up with directions on when and how to feed him. He even did some illustrating. :) He would've called us to check on the squirrel but the place he works doesn't have cell signal.

So that is the latest on Micaiah and his doings. Oh yeah, the other day the neighbors called the police on him because he was shooting at some sparrows in our backyard on our purple martin house. :) Other than that...life has been normal, or as normal as Micaiah's life can be. :) Every day is an adventure with Micaiah living in your house. There is never a dull moment! :)
